Funded by the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act, WorkSource can help youth and young adults who are facing employment challenges with individual, long-term services to help them reach their goals. Let us help you.

How Our Team Can Help
Are you a youth or young adult who:
- Lives in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific or Thurston counties?
- Faces barriers to employment (please see barriers listed below)?
- Needs help getting a job and planning your career?
- Needs help developing employment readiness?
- Has difficulty succeeding in the job market because of your skills or limited work experience?
- Needs help with resume development, resume review or interview coaching?
- Needs coaching or monetary help to get or keep your employment or to finish school?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, we may be able to help. We can provide:
- One-on-one in person or virtual (by phone, email, or video conference) meetings with our highly skilled staff to develop your career plan
- Help overcome barriers to work and school including:
- Transportation assistance (help getting a driver's license or driver’s license testing, bus passes, gas assistance)
- Clothing and work preparedness assistance (help paying for interview clothes, work clothes, tools or necessary work supplies)
- Micro credential attainment (customer service training, food handler's cards or other short-term training to become more competitive for employment)
- School transition assistance (help paying for books and some school related supplies)
- Referral to community resources and help accessing those resources

Who Should Apply? You Should If...
You are in high school or college, aged 14-21, low income and are facing one or more of the following barriers
– or—
You are out-of-school, aged 16-24 and are facing one or more of the following barriers:
- Having dropped out of school or currently working toward GED at a community college or Gravity Learning Center
- Experiencing homelessness or couch surfing
- Pregnant/parenting
- Currently or previously involved with the juvenile or adult justice system
- Currently or formerly in foster care
- Living with a disability
